Cave B was easy. The road home nearly killed everyone.
Scene 01 · Mud and treasure
Cave B belonged to mud mephits. They boiled from black pools and wet stone, but the fight never became the disaster it threatened to be.
Fit, Harvey, Norman and Bartho cleared the cave, took its treasure and began the road home believing the difficult part was over.
Scene 02 · Praal above the road
Praal waited above the road in ambush. The party tried to answer him with an arrow.
The shot went catastrophically wrong. Unstable rock broke loose, and the mountain came down on the four travellers below. Cave B had barely scratched them; one bad decision on the road left everyone grievously wounded.
Scene 03 · Violet light
At the moment the ambush should have become a massacre, Naomi entered the story.
The dwarf wizard raised one hand and violet magic rolled across the cliff. Praal collapsed into enchanted sleep. Fit, Harvey, Norman and Bartho used the opening to drag themselves back toward the Keep.
They returned wounded, alive, and no longer a party without a wizard.
