An invisible rescue, a bargain under pressure, and twenty enemies introduced to the chasm.

Scene 01 · Approach and rescue

The Invisible Rescue

Following the map recovered from the Shrine, the party reached Skarn Hollow from the chasm side. Naomi and Harvey scouted the compound, its mining crane and the patrols moving below.

Naomi made Harvey invisible. He crept down the ravine wall, entered the Overseer’s Compound and picked the lock on Kobe’s cage. Kobe immediately made a noise. The two pressed into the shadows while a guard passed close enough to touch, then climbed back to the waiting party.

“Kobe knew you would come. Kobe always knew.”

Scene 02 · A village chooses

The Elder’s Bargain

Kobe brought his rescuers to Elder Nakk, the pragmatic chief of a village trapped beneath the cult’s Moonstone operation.

Nakk asked the party to heal her injured relative. Fazzir did so. In return, the adventurers asked her to clear every civilian from Skarn Hollow before the fighting began. Nakk agreed, giving the party room to turn the whole ravine into a weapon.

Scene 03 · The chasm gambit

Cut the Cables

Fit, Bartho and Fazzir waited beside the compound entrance. Harvey and Kobe crawled to the crane and watched the enemy shift begin its ascent.

The miners threw pickaxes upward, but nothing connected. Harvey and Kobe kept sawing. With one final cut, the rigging snapped: miners, timber and chain disappeared into the Moonstone glow as the crane folded over the abyss.

Scene 04 · The diversion

“Mine Accident!”

The crash rolled through the ravine. A guard in the watchtower pointed toward the shattered crane and shouted the only explanation that made sense.

The compound emptied. The soldiers ran for the chasm mouth, so Fit, Bartho and Fazzir abandoned their original entrance ambush and followed. The garrison crowded together at the lip. Naomi stepped into position behind them.

Scene 05 · Battle at the edge

Twenty Against the Chasm

Naomi’s first Thunderwave swept soldiers and Hollow Ones into open air. Her second broke the line that tried to replace them.

Fit and Bartho shoved the survivors over the lip while Fazzir kept the party standing. Vekt rallied one last defence, half-corrupted and furious, but the ravine had already decided the battle. He fell, Skarn Hollow was liberated, and the party reached level four beside the settling wreckage.

Far below, the Moonstone glow continued to pulse.

Above Ground, Skarn Hollow Was Free

“Mine accident!”

What changed

Kobe is rescued.
Skarn Hollow’s civilians evacuate.
The mining crane and garrison are destroyed.
Vekt is killed and the party reaches level four.
